How to reach Ladakh
Leh is the nearest airport, which is connected to Delhi, Chandigarh and Srinagar. The nearest railway station to Ladakh is Jammu. From Jammu you can head to Srinagar by road and then to Ladakh, which is some 434 kilometers away. It is about a two-day journey from Srinagar with a night halt at Kargil. On the road from Srinagar to Leh you will cross the high Zoji La Pass, and travel past Mulbek where there is a giant image of the Maitreya Buddha. The Namika La and Fotu La Passes and the Spituk Gompa are scenic attractions on the road from Srinagar to Leh. You can also approach Leh Ladakh from Manali. On the road from Manali you will cross the Rohtang Pass and the Baralacha La Pass. Stop overnight at Sarchu Serai and on the next day travel through Tanglang La and Lachulung La passes to Upshi and onward to Leh. Along the way you will see many ancient monasteries and Buddhist structures.
Important Places to Visit in Ladakh Tour Package
Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport in Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters), you will be transferred to your hotel by the Tour Operator(2-3 kilometers from airport). During the day, acclimatize yourself with the weather and high pressure of Ladakh (Scanty Oxygen). People with breathing trouble are not advised to visit.
Drive towards west of Leh and explore the miniature paintings of Alchi Monastery. The foundation stone of Alchi Monastery was laid sometime back in 990 A.D. En route, drive past Magnetic Hall and confluence of Indus and Zanskar River at Nimu. While heading back to Leh, en route visit Military Hall of Fame managed by Indian Army
Early morning, leave on road to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and considered as one of the highest motorable pass in the world. In the afternoon, explore Hunder & Diskit monastery and white sand dunes via camel safari. The safari tour is done with double humped camels that are found only in Nubra Valley.
Nubra Valley – Leh
Following the Samstanling Monastery tour in the morning, you will drive back to Leh via Khardungla Pass. In the evening, explore the local bazaars (markets) of Leh. One can purchase shopping items such as Pashmina shawls, Chinese cutleries, good pearls and Ladakhi woolen handicrafts. Stay overnight at the hotel.
A full day tour of Pangong Lake is ideal. The Pangong Lake is around 135 kilometers away from Leh and situated at an elevation of 4,400 meters. En route, cross Chang la pass and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh.
In the afternoon, explore the lake and its surroundings. A tour of the local village will enable cultural insight into Leh. During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive back to Leh. An optional tour of Hemis Monastery (5 kilometer away from Leh near Kharu) is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Drive back to Leh by noon. In the afternoon, enjoy a shopping tour in the local markets of Leh.

Arrive in Manali (By Bus)
On arrival in Manali, check-in to the hotel and relax till afternoon. Grab a quick lunch, post which you test your motorbike and get used to the roads. Go riding on the Himalayan riding premier through the challenging roads along the Kullu Valley. The tricky bends and stretches on the road will help you test the characteristics of the bike and acquaint yourself to handle the motor beast for your entire tour. Enjoy a fun ride to the beautiful Kullu Valley. Later, come back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Manali.
Manali – Jispa on Bike (150 km)
Wake up early this morning and begin your adventure. Start your ride to Rohtang Pass (3978 meters). The beautiful mountain pass is the gateway to your bike tour. This first leg of your journey is your first challenge as the roads are really bad and the weather conditions are also uncertain. Overcome your first test, after which you will pass through the Lahaul Valley. Lahaul introduces you to the mountains capped with snow all around. Proceed to Jispa, which is your halt for the day. Enjoy a delicious dinner of the mountains. Steamed momos and thukpa are famous traditional Himalayan items for dinner.
Jispa – Sarchu on Bike(120 km)
Today you drive to Sarchu. As you leave Jispa behind, enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. This highway route takes you into the heart of the mountains. Enjoy the splendid view as you pass through the Baralachha Pass (5000 meters above sea level). Keep driving towards Sarchu which is the border-line between Kashmir and Himachal. From there, get to the Sarchu camp. Relax for the rest of the day and keep a high intake on fluids to keep away AMS (acute mountain sickness).
Sarchu – Leh on Bike (ride 215 km)
The day starts with a lot of challenges. Today you will have to ride your motorbike through flatlands and get into the mountain horizon. Drive through the Tanglang-La Pass which is the second-highest motorable mountain pass in the world at the height of 5300 meters. After crossing this pass, you will ride through well-maintained roads all the way to Leh. En-route, get to see the monasteries of Thiksey and Shey. These ancient monasteries are set on the top of a hill and are attractions of your tour. Check-in at the hotel in the borders of Changspa in Leh. Spend your time exploring the local places. Rest for the night.
Leh – Nubra on Bike (ride 160 km)
Today is the 5th day of the trip and you will visit Nubra via Khardungla Pass at 18360 ft., one of the world’s highest motorable pass. On the way to Nubra, you will take the first break at South Pullu, grab some food and then start your journey again to the Khardung La. Take pictures and get a feel to standing at one of the world’s highest passes. The next stop will be North Pullu. Take some rest and eat something. On the way to Nubra, you will visit the Diskit Monastery. The Maitreya Budha statue which is 32 m high can be seen far from here. Nubra is famous for sand dunes and two-humped camels. Take a camel ride in the evening and return to the camp.
Nubra – Pangong Lake on Bike(ride 270 km)
Wake up early and have breakfast. The sixth day of your tour covers a visit to Pangong Lake. The largest brackish water lake in Asia is one of the best attractions of Ladakh. The 2/3rd portion of the lake lies in China. The waters are crystal clear blessed with so many intriguing shades of blue. After a halt at the lake, proceed towards Chang La (5500 meters above sea level) and go forward to the army checkpoint at Tangse. Check-in at the resort and the rest of the evening is at your leisure. You can stroll around the Lake and spend some quality time in serene nature.
Pangong – Leh on Bike(ride 149 km)
Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready to head towards Leh. Explore Leh the whole day. Shop at bazaars and visit the Shanti Stupa, the Buddhist white-dome huge structure which overlooks Changspa. Enjoy a great view of the Indus Valley and the Zanskar range. Roam around in the street of the Leh. The markets are very vibrant and you will love the energetic vibes of the Leh.
Leh – Sarchu on Bike (ride 215 km)
Bid adieu to Leh and begin your ride. En-route, you will see Pang, a scenic spot in Ladakh’s landscape. Halt at Sarchu. Sarchu lies in the middle of the two beautiful destinations, Manali and Leh.
Sarchu – Manali on Bike(ride 215 km)
Begin your drive early morning through the Sarchu plain and reach the Baralaccha plain till noon. Enjoy the beauty crossing through Lahaul ranges and reach Rohtang pass. Rohtang pass will challenge you with mini-rivers of mud. Ride through the obstacles to reach Manali.
