Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan
Ranthambore National Park is located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It is just 158 Km away from Jaipur and 381 Km from the capital city, Delhi. Therefore, it can be easily accessed from the major cities in and out of the c country through airways, railways and roadways.
The Ranthambore National Park is a royal home to predators not short of royalty themselves – tigers. Being the main attraction, tigers capture the interest of wildlife photographers. While you enjoy a safari in Ranthambore, the wild cats come out to enjoy the warmth of the desert. Spanning over 1,334 square kilometers, you can spot these majestic cats, you won’t be disappointed as you will get to see other wild animals like Sloth Bears, Wild Boars, Sambar to name a few.
Best time to visit – October to June while tiger sightings happen between March and May.
How to Reach: To visit Ranthambore National Park, take a route from Sawai Madhopur. The distance between Jaipur and Ranthambore is about 180 km and there are regular flights for Jaipur from all the major cities including, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. The tourists can take direct taxi or bus from Sanganer Airport to reach Ranthambore safely. The station is located at the distance of about 11 km from the park and the tourist can catch the local bus, taxi or cab to reach the Ranthambore Park from the Sawai Madhopur station. There are direct trains to Sawai Madhopur station from the major cities of India like Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai and others.
